Sebby Almost Rolled

Sebby still hasn't been able to roll yet. He always sticks up his butt as if he wants to crawl. He probably lacks of arm strength to do any of those.

On a positive side, he has been able to grab his two feet recently. Maybe soon he will put one of them in his mouth as most babies do. :D

Don't You Love Those Smiles?

Getting a few times in the morning is tiresome. Even though Sebastian can't speak and can't say thank you, his smiles are all I need from him to stay energetic.

No Baby Food. No Apple. Just No No No.

On Saturday I tried the stage 1 baby food -- sweet peas.

First spoon: He didn't push it out with his tongue. He gagged a little, but nothing came back out. It must be good. Ok, maybe he just wasn't used to the taste.

Second spoon: It went in. It looked good. But I didn't even finish with my thought that he might actually be ok with it, he gagged and threw up with the milk he took awhile.

One word: Disaster.

On Sunday, I tried to grate some apple for him. He seemed to like it. Maybe it was the apple juice, but the apple sauce is still in his mouth. After a few spoons, you got it, same thing happened.

Two words: More Disaster.

Perhaps we just need to stick with the rice cereal for now. Last night, he has moved to the single grain rice cereal. Maybe we should increase the amount of rice cereal? Or Maybe should do it 3 times a day? Ugh... So confused right now!

But he also has the wild side to do anything dangerous.

Sebastian might not be able to roll over yet, but it seems like he wants to crawl already.

Weird sleeping pattern

Sebby just doesn't sleep much in day time on weekends. My dad said he sleeps for an hour or two in the morning, and somtimes another long nap in the afternoon. But, he just doesn't do that on weekends. He gets grouchy by mid day or the evening.

Yesterday (Sunday), he probably slept twice, but each was no longer than 45 min. By 6pm or so, he whined and whined and whined. Luckily this time, rocking him in the car seat made him fall in sleep. He normally could cry outloud, and nothing would work unless you carry him and have him look outside of the window (to divert his attention). He didn't wake up until 9:45pm. Fed him 5 oz in about 30 min, and he was back to sleep until 4-ish am.

Is it better that he sleeps longer at night? I don't know. He would eat less if he sleeps that much at night.

Sebby is 14 lbs And Just Started on Solid This Week

What's new this week:

On Thurday night 2/28/2008, he seemed to have a minor constipation. The poop was like play dough. It was a bit difficult for him. He pooped two times at night and one more time on Friday morning with one chunk each time!
On Friday 2/29/2008, he weighted 14 lbs at the doc's office!
On Saturday 3/1/2008, he started on rice cereal.

For the constipation, the doc suggested to add half oz of water to one of his meal. It worked. The poop was back to the normal soggy form on Friday night.
